Exhibition Lighting

Architectural and Exhibition Lighting

As a lighting designer, I create considered, immersive environments that elevate both the artwork and the audience experience. I have developed multiple lighting designs for exhibitions in museums and galleries, carefully shaping light to reveal the detail, texture and narrative of each object on display. My approach prioritises the integrity and significance of the artworks — ensuring they remain the focal point — while crafting a refined ambience that enhances the spatial experience. Through a balance of technical precision and artistic sensitivity, I design lighting that honours the objects, supports curatorial intent, and invites visitors to engage deeply with the museum and gallery environment.

Live Performance

Lighting for Live Performance

In my approach to lighting for live performance, I treat light as an active dramaturgical element rather than a purely technical necessity. I work carefully with colour contrast to sculpt emotional temperature and guide the audience's focus, allowing warm and cool tonalities to converse across the stage. Through contrast, intensity and shadow, I support the stage composition — framing bodies in motion, articulating depth, and giving rhythm to stillness. Light becomes a structural tool, shaping spatial relationships and reinforcing choreographic lines. I am particularly interested in how subtle shifts in colour and angle can create seamless transitions, marking changes in atmosphere or narrative without interrupting the flow of the performance. Ultimately, my lighting aims to enhance the meaning of the piece, amplifying gesture, tension and silence so that visual composition and performance language operate as one cohesive experience.
