Last Orders

NICA — 2015

Last Orders! was the 2015 third-year graduate showcase created and performed by students of the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne, directed by James Brown and Helene Embling. The production was set within the playful framework of a 1930s Parisian cafe, with students embodying high-class waiters as a thematic device to showcase their circus skills. Across the season, the ensemble presented a lively mix of juggling, hula-hooping, clowning, acrobatics, trapeze, tumbling, tightwire and more, all staged in an intimate cabaret-style environment complete with a fully stocked bar. The show combined technical skill with theatrical flair, celebrating the graduating class's range and agility while engaging audiences in a spirited, variety-style performance.
