Leap of Faith

NICA — 2013

Leap of Faith: Circus in Motion was a major showcase performance created by the graduating class of Bachelor of Circus Arts students at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne. Directed by Matthew Jessner, the production ran from 4-13 April 2013 and featured 24 final-year students demonstrating a broad range of contemporary circus skills — from aerial work and juggling to handstands and acrobatic duos — in a dynamic, spectacle-driven ensemble piece. The show was designed to highlight the students' physical strength, technical training and creative versatility, supported by atmospheric lighting, projection and sound, and served as both a celebration of their development and a launch into their professional careers.
