Zarco

Malpelo — 1993

Zarco was an early choreographic work created by the Catalan contemporary dance company Mal Pelo, led by co-founders Pep Ramis and Maria Munoz. It formed part of the company's first wave of performances that helped establish their poetic and exploratory movement language. Zarco was presented in 1995 at the Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, Spain, one of the city's key venues for contemporary dance and performance, during a period when Mal Pelo was touring and showcasing new pieces across Europe.
